I've lived in the country most of my life but my family wasn't involved in farming. We did have a small tobacco base but it was set with an old tobacco jobber and left over plants from a local farmer. As a kid I made my spending money helping the local farmers putting up hay, clearing land, and cutting, stripping tobacco. Helped friends in tobacco until not too many years ago. I could get around in an old engine due to my dad being in the trucking industry. However I was never around the farming implements and attachments. I recently purchased a MF25 disc and been digging around in here for some info. I want to check things out an see what overall condition my disc is in and what repairs might be needed before putting it to work. I don't expect my disc to ever be as nice as FarmingwithJunks MF25 but mechanically I do want it in nice workable condition. I've come across a few words that are new to me. Spools is a word that I will guess is the spacers between the disc? Looking at Agrisupply spacers look like half spools? Another word is Boxer (bearings)? My MF25 disc has a bottom cap with two grease fittings is this what is call the boxer or is the boxer (bearings) under these? Sorry if this is vague but as of right now I can't get this picture in my mind.....maybe some are using different terms for the same item thus confusing me somewhat???? Thanks in Advance.
