Tractor
Satoh S650D, Ford 9N, John Deere 140 H3, Husqvarna 52" mower, Craftsman 48" mower
Have been following the forums on compact tractors for quite a while and finally went and bought a little Mitsubishi 2 cyl. diesel tractor with a loader and mower. Have had a Ford 9N and a John Deere 3020 but am not very informed on the imports. Having a time trying to figure out exactly what it is. The serial # is S 650 300148 and the block # is KE 130. It has Mitsubishi decals on the hood, an S (for Satoh?) on the grill. The aluminum data plate on the frame is completely unreadable. From my searches it could be an early S650 G or a S630 Bull (made for US) or an S650 US spec Satoh. The headlights are on the sides, not built in over the grill which makes me believe it's one of the earlier units that came out while Mitsubishi and Satoh were merging. Didn't find where the KE 130 came out in the gray market tractors but it's probably a possibility. Can anybody help me figure out what it is for sure, I have no clue on fluid levels, adjustments and general troubleshooting and generally maintaining the tractor. Are there any manuals available that are even closely related to what I've got? Right now There's an issue with the 3 point not operating, but since the loader works flawlessly on what I believe is the same system, I want to check into the control valve at the hitch. The guy I got it from had it about 6 months and couldn't even tell me how ore where to check the hydraulic levels. Feel like I'm writing a book here but I'm in real need of a lot of info.

Thanks for the welcome, will try to get a few pictures posted tonite or tomorrow. Just got it home last night and have been pretty busy just figuring out how much I don't know about this tractor. Couldn't pass it up, it runs great and had to rescue it from the guy that believes in zero maintanance. Good thing he only owned it since December, from the shape it's still in the owner previous to him took quite good care of it and he didn't have enough time to do a lot of damage.

Kind of sort of, the hood on mine looks quite different, is more rounded than the one in the pics and soesn't have the sharp lines. Thanks for the link, think mine is an earlier tractor than the one in pics. Really need to find out about types of fluid and levels and general specs, just want to maintain it properly and drain and change all the fluids.

hello Bajawayne, Not sure if you found this site yet but I too am new to the Satoh world (Purchased mine Monday) and have been searching for some info. Here is a link to Valley Power. The technical data page will give the complete history of satoh. Hope it helps

Thanks for the link, I found it the other day , it made me realize how little I know about this tractor. Don't even know about oil and hyd fluid types and levels. Really need a source for operating and service or repair manuals, have to chase down my 3 point problem.

Somwwhere on here I say someone explaining details for checking the screen of the hydraulics. I was searching for the S-650G which after looking at your pics closer. I see that you have the twin to my tractor. I have the Satoh S-650G Bison early model. Of course on mine the G is for gasoline, Yours is diesel. Hydraulics should be no different. Try searching for the bison with the diesel that should get you closer.

Thanks Larry, Think I'm finally getting a clue as to what I have. Didn't realize that the G in the model # stood for gas, figured mine was probably a completely different tractor. I think it will be easier to get info now I'm looking for an S-650 Bison. Would sure like to find some manuals. Guess you're about in the same boat as I am with being new to the Satohs. Makes me feel better knowing that somebody else just bought one also.
