You are going into relief. I'm not familiar with your tractor, but there should be a linkage that runs between your lift lever (probably underneath the fender) and the control shaft coming from the housing. This link should be adjustable.

My 304 Jinma has stop screws in the lift lever quadrant and the manual calls for setting one so that the lift dos not over extend and cause damage. I've been unable to make much sense of the manual regarding adjusting the feedback and have never ben really completely satisfied with the way the TPH operates. It is okay, just not as fine aof control as I'd really like.

Where are you located in NC? I'm currently in NC and would like to see your 304 and learn what I can from you if we're reasonably close and you'd be willing. I'm in the Durham area for the next couple of months, though I don't know whether I'll be able to travel much after the next two weeks.

I'm a wee way away from you ..i'm in New Zealand.I'm going to use stops on the lift lever quadrant as well for now.

I had to adjust the stop on the lift of my DF as the arms would get stuck in the up position and prevent me from lowering my mower. Mower is a 72" that is fairly heavy but the arms would jam anyways. I lowered the arms upward travel by 1/2" using the stop on the control lever feedback arm and now all is well.

I am in Greensboro, not far at all. It is going to be hot today, but I am going out to work on the tractor right now. I am going to PM you some info right now.

As too the other issue..I think the support screws that holds the bracket*
can be loosened, and it can be rotated slightly as a unit.

*I don't know the name but "That thing in which the control levers move."

Thanks for that but mine is a bit different to that pic of the 304..i have a JM 354 (2008) If i can figure out how to get some pics on the site it may help some..did find a link arm off that comes from the lift arm and is connected to the distributor assembly.Hooked it up and adjusted it and it didn't make a lot of difference other than altering the height of the lever on the quadrant when lifting the arms before it loaded up the engine..hope that makes some sense!

Mine is a 2007 model and is different from those diagrams ans I only have a single lever that controls both position control and draft control. I think the interior aspects of the lift assembly are substantially the same, but the actuation lever is different.

That sounds the same as mine..single lever! Have managed to find a diagram but it's very hard to work out what is what.

Oh..mine is a bit older, and has two levers. Is your version supposed to have both position control and draft control?
