Kubota L5030
Hello All,
I"m new to this forum and just purchased a 375 hr 2006 Kubota L5030 HSTC. So I have a lot to learn. My inquiry is, I have a 500 foot drive way that I have to clear of snow. I have an 8 foot Fisher plow of a dead GMC 1 ton and I'm considering fitting the plow to my quick attach via plate and plow with it. Will the tractors joints handle this weight which I estimate around 600 to 800 pounds? My intention is to cradle the plow frame somewhat behind the QA plate and suspend the plow as much below the loader joint. I don't want to prematurely wear out the bushings or mounts.

600 - 800 lbs is less than the FEL will lift so you should not have any problems presuming you aren't doing 20 MPH over rough wash boards on a continuous basis.

This has been done by a lot of us on this forum.Works well. You just have to decide if you want to float the plow or FEL.I chose to float my 8ft.Curtis plow via the chain. My tractor is a L4240 HSTC ,so similar in size to yours.

Don't go fast even w/heavy wet snow, also make sure trip springs work..

If you take off the bucket when you mount the plow you're only adding the difference between them and when you're pushing snow the weight of the plow is on the ground anyway. You'll want loaded rears, chains and perhaps some weight on the 3PH but you will be fine. Some setups (European) add a brace from the tractor nose to the loader arms to counter the side thrust of the angled blade but I haven't found I needed one.

It is a standard Fisher accessory. It is for back dragging snow away from garage doors etc. It was on the plow when I Craigslisted it and is an aluminum plate.
