MS210C gas cap...started giving me trouble

I have had this chain saw for several years, and never had a problem with the gas cap. Saturday, I could not get it on right.

I had a friend over who was able to play with the cap, then get it on.

Time to buy a new cap?

Maybe so or if you have an air nozzle blow out the cap mechanism if that is one of the half twist quick caps. Look for burrs in the threads on the tank also.

No problem. Those things are frustrating at times as I have had a tough time getting them to lock down and seal. You might try WD-40 to hose it out if you don't have an air compressor. Just don't blow junk into the tank.
