I noticed a similar leak, right where the front drive shaft comes out of the transmission, area. It dripped maybe once an hour, not a lot, more of a seep, but still a Class 2 leak from my military days. My tractor was under warranty at the time, so I called the dealer and scheduled service.
Dealership advised I drop it off and they will try to squeeze it in. About a MONTH later I get a call from the dealership. They want to know exactly where the leak is. I told them, and they couldn't find it. I actually left work to go show them! At that time, the OWNER of the dealership tried talking me out of the repair.
I asked if the tractor was under warranty. Yes? Ok, then fix it. I shouldn't have a tractor that leaks, not a new one anyway. They had to order parts.
About 2 months later I get a call that my tractor was ready. I asked if they fixed the leak, and they said they did. Big surprise, they didn't touch it. I checked the bolts they would have loosened and retightened, they still have the paint on them! Typically, these bolts will flake the paint off as soon as your wrench gets within a few inches of them!
I called and asked the owner if they actually preformed the work, and he 100% said they did. But now the tractor is out of warranty and it still leaks. Not having my tractor 3 months sucked and I was not about to let it sit on the dealership service lot for another 3 months and PAY to have it repaired.
I figure the leak is not significant enough to warrant fighting over. When I need to remove the transmission to service the clutch or something, I'll deal with it then.
Oh, by the way, that was the LAST time I went to that dealership! I've been using NH or Messicks for parts. And since my machine is out of warranty, I do the work myself.
