As promised, a new thread detailing the 3 remotes and TNT build.

Here are the parts used. For most of the fittings and adapters and hoses, I'll quote DHH or Surplus center prices, allthough I didnt need to order any from them. I had most of what I needed already, and what I didnt have, I ordered through work. So the hoses and fittings prices are just so others can compare and see what is needed for the total project. And may not match up to exactally what I did, because I was working with what I had. IE: I didnt have a -10 ORB x -08 JIC 90* fitting, but I did have a -10 ORB x -10 JIC 90* as well as a -10 x -08 JIC reducer. But if I had NOTHING at all, what I would have ordered is what is listed.

Lets get the party started.

Step 1: figure out how and where I want the valve mounted. This was done with some scraps.

Step two, figure out hose routing:

Pressure comes off the loader valve and into the new valve. The PB and Tank both go back to this manifold block:

End result looks something like this, allthough I did change the tee a bit to keep the hoses better protected:

I did put the short hoses that go to the couplers on before mounting the valve. Just easier that way, and a little paint too:

Time to figure out the handles. I did modify the slots on the tractor a bit:

Now time to make the mounting block/clamp for the couplers. With two-way sleeve couplers, this allows one hand connect, one hand disconnect, and breakaway protection.

Started with a 5" x 1.5" bar of aluminum, 1.5" long. (6) 1.5" holes for the couplers, and (4) 1/2" holes for mounting, then sawn in sections.

And only 1 logical place to mount them :

So safety police, stop reading now as I did indeed drill 4 17/32 holes through the cross support of my ROPS (which stays folded down anyway).

Now onto some Cylinders.....

Step 1: cut the clevis ends off
IMG_20160724_221624093.jpg

Step 2: weld on some eyes and the u-bracket (also made with scraps. some 2" x 1/2" bar)
IMG_20160724_234539302.jpgIMG_20160725_245122803.jpg

Step 3: let cool
Step 4: Paint the welded area

Time to fit and plumb the cylinders:
IMG_20160727_104728824.jpgIMG_20160727_104715353.jpgIMG_20160727_104710053.jpgIMG_20160727_104742709.jpg

A couple of things you will see in these pics that I havent mentioned yet:

The hoses that are just hooked together, those are for a third set of remotes. The place I ordered them from sent the wrong ones the first time. I called them Monday morning as soon as they opened, explained their error (in hopes they would get me the right ones ASAP), but they didnt even process through UPS till late that evening at 430 PM. I discovered that I could get these same two-way sleeve couplers at NAPA, for similar $$. But could only get me 4 by this morning. So thus the extra two places for couplers, and extra hoses.

Also, you will see I added flow controls. I didnt include them in my price/material list above, as they are totally optional. I wanted to better dial in the speed control and I am glad I did with the sidelink. So with these, no restrictor orifice is needed. And I have the ability to close them off to prevent drift, similar to how the DPCV toplink cylinders work, yet I still have the float option. Its a win win IMO

Here is the end result:

IMG_20160727_120920861.jpgIMG_20160727_121025717.jpgIMG_20160727_121014797.jpgIMG_20160727_120948734.jpgIMG_20160727_120848114.jpg

In the last pic, you will notice I made a new hook for hanging the TL when not in use. The OEM one wasnt big enough, and wasnt enough there for me to even make it big enough for the 3" cylinders.

Havent tried it out yet other than for pics and inspecting for leaks. Getting ready to do a little blade work right now over some tile/trenches I did a few months ago.

Feel free to post away now, or ask me anything.
