MX5100 HST with 14ft bushhog

went to a farm yesterday thats selling most everything they have an picked up 3 good feed troughs an 2 mineral feeders.noticed he had a batwing shredder sitting there.so asked if it was for sale he goes no.but i do have a 14ft bushhog i bought 3yrs ago used once or twice that ill sell.so it looks like we will go get the shredder sometime today along with a PH digger thats dugg less than 10 holes.do yall think the 5100 will pull the shredder or not.

On completely flat ground with very light grass/weeds it might do okay. For anything other than that I'd say no. IMO to use a 14-15' cutter properly you need between 100-150hp.

well if it dont pull it to good we do have a 85hp cab tractor that can pull it.because it can pull a disk that really needs a 130hp tractor.

Ive thought about the same thing but more with a finish mower. Im running a 6ft brush hog and would like to go bigger.

BB338 really interested in how it does in 3 ft tall stuff..... let us know for sure what did that set you back?

now i know it wont pull it that good,but i know itll pull it.i think weve decided to try to find another 80 to 100hp 4x4 tractor.the shredder was $3500.the old feller gave $3700 for it.
