My New(to me) 555d

Hi everybody. I have been looking at backhoes off and on for about a year now and finally made a deal on one two days ago. :thumbsup: It is a Ford 555D. It has 4600 hours, starts right up, and seems good and tight so far. According to the seller it is a 1989 model. From what little I can find searching the internet, 555D's were only made from 93-96.

It has a tag on the cab that has a date of 1995 on it but I cannot find a sticker on the tractor itself anywhere with the id numbers. I believe there WAS a sticker on the left side of the box that encases the steering column but it is long gone. Are there other places I can look?

I am assuming I will need to purchase a manual to get all the details of this TLB but I want to make sure what I have first.

i cant remember where else there is a data plate but i can say the c and d series ford backhoes where some of the best machines ever built imo i have run alot of them and only know of one with major trouble and that was because of lack of mataince by the owner
