My new to me Truck is a little banged up!

I was coming home from town the other night on my road about a half mile from home and a teenage boy ran a stop sign. He stopped completely, I thought he saw me then we I got about 40 feet from the intersection he pulled right out in front of me. I didn't even get to my brakes it happened so fast.

I was sure I had hurt the boy bad as I plowed into his door between 45 and 50mph. We all walked away with minor injuries. I'll never forget the look on his face when he realized he was about to get T-boned. It was a terrible feeling of helplessness for me. I had a sore sternum for about 3 days, still a little sore.

So not sure what will become of my truck. I loved the truck but glad no one was seriously hurt, truck is replaceable.

Thank God you and that young man are alright; I am sure he learned a lesson, but it's one he would have been better of learning from others.

I'm sorry you lost your new truck, I know it's hard even though they're just items. You develop an attachment to them. Plus, that 5.7 is a beast!

You'll find another one, just be patient.

I'm glad you're here to post, and I'm glad you don't have to live with a torn up heart, all because someone else had to make a poor decision.

Sorry to hear. You have the right attitude though, just rubber and sheet metal that can be replaced.

That’s a shame but glad no serious injuries. It’s scary how fast it happens. Unfortunately your truck is probably totaled.
