Here is what I am replacing, This was my dream truck back in 04.
It only has 55k on it.
Main reason for getting rid of it is taxes.
This truck was great in everyway.
If someone wants a GOOD deal you can have the Chevy for $22,000 now:eek: or get it from the Ford dealer next week for I'm thinking $24,999.00:rolleyes:

That is a good looking truck. I love the F-450. What gears does that one have? Most I see have 4.30's but I have always wanted one with the 4.88's

Anyway you will love the Ford. They are very comfortable and tough as they come.

I know you do not buy a truck like either of those for the ride, but what does the 450 ride like? I have never been in one but heard from a friend with a 5th wheel RV and one, that the ride was way rough. More than the 1 T Chevy. Not starting a brand fight, just asking.

I drove it yesterday and my wife and I said that we think it rides better than Chevy.

I do look into the ride because usually when I get behind the wheel I go for...well my last trip was 1,161 miles round trip straight thru...So I am looking for comfort also.

One of the main reasons why it rides better than the Chevy is it has much longer leaf springs on the rear.

Man that would be great to have a decent ride and the capacity of a 450. I have a Chevy Crew Cap, 2500HD and the ride is okay at best. Heck of a truck for what I use it for just a little rough on the ride.

The 450 my friend has is a single cab and SWB which probably accounts for the roughness with his.

One of my brothers has a 2008 F550 crew cab, but he went with the long wheel base and likes everything about it except the fuel mileage and the diesel that gets into the crankcase. Diesel fuel in the crankcase would really annoy me about the 6.4L powerstroke.

I had not heard that about the 6.4. Too bad, ford still has 2 black eyes and a fat lip from the 6.0l debacle....
