Need a picture of a 2001 7300

Does anyone have a picture of one of these tractors? Is it the same as the 7275?

The previous Cub Cadet 7000 series all looked the same except for the 7360SS. That looked different. The new Cub Cadet CUTs are all completely different. Except for the 7360SS, the rest of Cub Cadet's previous 7000 series all migrated over to Mahindra.

The 7300 and 7275 look the same. Only thing different is a 30hp engine.

Thanks for the info. I found a 2001 7300 with a 5' loader, standard tranny and 275 hours for 12.5K. It has industrial tires and a backhoe mount on it. He also mentioned a foot pedal for creeper speed that locks the 4 wheels in case you get stuck. The manuals are included. It is a private party sale.

Does it have the whole backhie or just the mounts? I don't quite follow. If there is no hoe, I think I would try talking him down some. That price sounds a little high.

Jim, I have another question. You say it has a creeper speed that locks all 4 wheels. I didn't know that all 4 wheels lock up on some tractors although it might be common or larger tractors. My 7234 (Std., 23 HP, 4 WD) only locks the rear wheels when/if I get stuck by using a little foot/heel pedal just below the front of the seat. My Low/1st gear is what I considered a creeper speed.

This is what the owner told me. I will have to see it to believe it also. I know about the rear wheel lockup. I never heard about the 4 wheeel lockup before. Since I am a noobie to these new machines, I didn't want to say anything to him about dounting it. He has the manuals for it. I will look thru them if I take a run out to look at it.

This Cub does not have the whole backhoe. It has the lower mount on it for one. The owner took the hoe off and gave it to his brother. I think he will take 11.5K for it. He said that was what his brother was going to give him next year for it. The other Cadet I posted about ( the one with the extended bucket and backhoe) comes with no warranty at all. I talked with the dealer yesterday about it. He did say that I could come out and try it out and see what it can do. A 10K machine with no guaranty makes me a big uneasy. I do realize that the backhoe alone is worth 4K used. But is it worth taking a risk on the rest of the machie for 6K? I will also need to buy a trailer to get this home or pay someone about $1K to deliver it. Unfortunately it is that far away. I also can't afford to buy a new tractor (two kids in college). So I have no choice but to go with a used piece.

If you go to that and to the bottom of the first page there is a "Used Tractor Price Guide". That may give you some thoughts on the price.

I already told you my thoughts about the servicing, filters etc in the first post. If the guy hasn't serviced this in awhile you might consider getting the filters and fluids and giving it a good going over if you buy it. If you don't have a torque wrench you ought to pick one up.

Unfortunately, when you buy a used machine, you have to go with your gut on it, because a warranty is uncommon. Lucky for me, my brothers are all farmers, so I take one of them with me when I buy stuff. They are pretty good at giving equipment the "once over". Do you know anyone who could go with you to look at it and give you an unbiased opinion?
