I have a 94 model John Deere LX 188 that needs a new seat cushion. The cost of the seat at the dealer is equivalent to a down payment on a new tractor so that option is out for now. The seat pan is still in reasonably good shape. Nothing a little wire brush and paint won't fix. All the replacement seats I find are designed to bolt to some sort of support frame. The LX seat is not designed that way. The LX seat has 2 right-angle brackets at the front that are attached to the seat pan through which a long 3/8" rod is passed. This allows the seat to tilt forward. The rear of the seat rests on 2 support springs and is not permanently attached to anything. None of the universal replacements I can find have this mounting arrangement. Anybody have any recommendations? Thanks
