Need help in pricing for 3032E Package

My nephew recently passed away, and his family has asked me to help them establish pricing for his tractor and implements. Most of the comparable stuff I have found has been from dealers, so I came here hoping to determine reasonable private party pricing.

The tractor is a 3032E hydro with 300E loader and 3rd function. It was bought new from James River Equipment in 2021. I currently has about 77 hours.

The package also has a Frontier RC2060 cutter, Frontier BB5060 box blade, Quick Hitch, CID X-Treme Attachments 60 single cylinder root grapple ( I can't make out the model # in the picture I took), and an 18' 7K equipment trailer.

Everything has been lightly used as can be expected given the hours. The equipment with the exception of the trailer has been stored under a carport next to his shop. The tractor could use a good washing, but would clean up good.

Pricing estimates for the package and individual items would be greatly appreciated.

I'm wanting to help his widow and children get a quick sale at a reasonable price and not get taken advantage of. They are located in Central North Carolina.

Chris, I am sorry for your loss.

We do own a John Deere 3032e so we pay some attention to those tractors and pricing.

Around here, your tractor could easily bring $22K to $24K. You could advertise the tractor and implements as a package for $30K. I would sell the trailer separately, because most people looking for your tractor already have a trailer.

Here is some good news, and this is something that has changed in the last several years:

A few years ago, you would get less money at an auction then you would selling it yourself. Now, we are seeing auction prices higher than selling it yourself because the auctions reach such a large audience. This is one thing to consider.

Another option is looking to your local dealer. The John Deere dealer in our town is very straightforward and has told me, "We will appraise your equipment, and write you a check for 20% less than that appraisal." It might be worth that 20% to have a dealer just pick everything up and leave you with a check.

I've been doing some research on Machinery Pete and elsewhere online since I posted this and found similar pricing, also found there were a few tractor/loaders that were in the $20K range with similar hours. Your estimates help to validate what I am coming up with.

I also like the dealer option you mentioned. I'll have to reach out to the dealership up there and see if they have a similar program. I know they are hoping for a quick sale, so that may be the best option.

My niece did go talk to the dealer they purchased the tractor from, and they basically gave her the run around. I was able to provide dealer comps for all of the equipment they had, and gave them a very fair offer based on that. I now own another tractor, and they don't have to deal with tire kickers and low ballers...

Thanks for your valuation. That's pretty close to the value I gave them as a starting point. Although I hadn't intended to purchase any equipment this year, I am honored to add this to my 'fleet'.

It was a WAG on my part. I would think there would be 10% to 15% discount for the whole package. Plus there's something to be said to be done and over with it.
