Hey gang,

I need a little help here. The dealer put on the MMM a couple of weeks ago. Now I have much difficulty mounting my rear blade on the three point. I think he mixed up the brackets that attach to the three point. That's what is restricting me from swinging the arms wide enough to clear the blade pins.

The brackets have a flat side and and angled side. Both angles are on the inside (towards the center of the tractor)

It looks like this (T = Tire)
T|\ /| T

Is this right? or should I swap them to look like this?

T/| |\T

The owners manual wasn't any help becuase It doesn't show a picture & the parts aren't marked Left & Right (I assume the boxes were.

Thanks in advance.

Hey hasmat:
I just got back from the barn to visually confirm my thoughts.By your illustration, it appears that the dealer has goofed up! My lift arm brackets are the reverse of your's and it allows the arms to swing wide right out to the tires. It should not be too difficult to swap them out and I think you should do so soon. I would also like to caution you as to how my dealer goofed up! Make sure that the left lift arm is pinned through the highest hole in the fork. If not the deck will not raise evenly. The left front height wheel will be lower than the right and you could hit obstacles that will cause the wheel($42) to shatter. It will also cause undo stress and damage to the lift mechanism of the mower. Check this right away, I learned the hard way. Hope this helps,
Arthur

Thanks for the help. I will swap them today (I have the MMM off to do my 50 hour service).

Hey Hazmat,
I got some pictures for you, but I think after reading the post again. I took pictures of the wrong part./w3tcompact/icons/blush.gif I've got pictures from the side of the tractor with the MMM brackets showing, and a picture from the back. Please let me know if they will help you. I'll post them if you want. Good Luck Kent

Kent,

I already swapped the brackets, but a picture from the back of the tractor would be helpful to double check Thanks! I haven't had a chance to try mounting the rear blade yet to confirm if I have any improvement. However, The ole' hairy eyeball says that the lift arms swing wider now.

Hi Hazmat,
Her's a picture of the rear of the tractor. I got close to the brackets were they connect. From the edges of the picture the 3PH angle to the outside. My Tractor has a bungie cord hold the arms together. I hope this helps.

Anytime Hazmat,
I'm glad you got it fixed up. How's the MMM working? Do you like it a lot better then the Rear-mount?

YES! Much easier to manouver the tractor around the apple orchard! Overall length with the RFM was 14', verses the MMM 9'. Cut quality is good too. Love the rear discharge.

And after having done it twice now, removing and remounting is pretty easy (on garage floor): <5 min off <10 min on.
