Hey everybody... my first post here. Have been lurking awhile and soaking up info, using search function a lot. Beginner farmer/tractor person so hopefully I can get a little slack...
Ran into something that I hope is easy to fix.
I have a new LS XR 3135 HST tractor. Ended up picking up a used Woods RM59 finish mower to add to my other implements.
The Woods finish mower female PTO shaft fits fine on the LS (1 3/8, 6 groove) but doesn't have the sleeve quick connector (as my new brush hog does), it takes a pin.
The male PTO shaft on the LS does not have a hole to accept the pin.
I found an old thread with a similar issue (yes, i used the search function!):
http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/attachments/75055-pto-connectors-3.html
It talks about drilling the PTO shaft which I REALLY want to avoid.
I found the following on Agri Supply:
Over Riding Clutch 1-3/8" 6 Spline Female and Male | Agri Supply 1
71
Will that female end work like the "sleeve" connector on my rotary mower (basically a ring I pull back to attach/detach the rotary mower)? The hole in the male end of the adapter looks to be exactly what I need.
Thanks in advance.
