Need tires - Where to start? What to expect?

I have bought from Nebraska tire a couple of years ago. They had the best prices on "buffed tires" (factory seconds). I do my own tire work, so, I'm into cheap as I can get. Freight was a factor in the price though. bjr

One note of caution relating to the rear tires. It's possible that the rear tires could be loaded with fluid. In that case, they are VERY heavy, and similar tires have maimed/killed people who either didn't know what they were doing, or made a mistake in handling them.

Many places have mobile tractor tire services where they have everything they need to dismount, mount, etc the tires on location.

Call a few tire shops. They have mobile service trucks to come out and install / repair tires. It will cost more than eBay , but it will be done probably in an hour or less and you wont have to handle a thing. Rear ag tires can get real heavy real quick if you don't know what your doing not to mention if they mess something up ( tear a tube) it won't cost you anymore.

I just replaced a front tire on my 1720 last fall...
It was a 7-14 Ag heavy cleat tire since my tractor is a 4WD...
I work right across from a Discount Tire store and it is very convenient for me to purchase tires there...
Last 3 sets for my car and truck I bought there and was satisfied with the service and price...
Went to them with the tractor tire and rim...
They had to order it from a distributor but had it in a couple of days...
No worry no fuss...
Any good dealer that will take the time with you can get you a tire from a distributor if they want to do it...
Some tire dealers do not...
This one does...
If I was getting a rear tire my choices would be limited to several other dealers in the area that specialize in truck tires...
They are used to mounting bigger tires typically used on large trucks and industrial equipment...
Still yet though they would have to order the tire from a distributor and a typical wait time is a couple of days if the tire is in stock...
