Traction Need to change tires.. T1's to R4's. What is WholeGoods?

Hello All,
Sorry if this is really newbie, (maybe stupid ?), but I'm trying to understand what wholegoods does?
I have the turf tires on my new BX25DLB and I can tell that I'm not running the right rubber under it for the work
I'm asking the machine to do. So, I called the dealer and they quoted me a WG's price for the R4's with rims/tire/F&R.

From what I understand the Kubota "wholegoods" catalog is a so called "detailed pricing and availability" catalog for things you might like to buy for your Kubota specific model. An example would the the tires and rims you are "customizing" on your BX. So on a specific model basis, you can look in this catalog and pick out the accessories that will fit your machine.

Here's the catalog. A bit out of date, but good enough to get an idea.

Ordering from Whole Goods is through your Sales person, not at the parts counter, as I understand it. I've ordered a bunch of stuff. Comes in on the next truck load shipment. Kubota can sell you a set of 4 brand new BX tires, mounted on new orange Wheels, for $440. Can't buy the tires for that around here. It is a pretty cool way to order stuff at great prices.

Wholegoods means you go to the sales department just like you do to buy a complete machine. The parts department cannot get wholegoods items through normal parts system channels, but may have the capability to order wholegoods depending on how the dealership managment has things structured.

My Kubota "dealer" gave me a price on front tires about 3/4 of what I found from other Kubota dealers best price. My local truck and car tire dealers would not even talk to me as soon as I mentioned "tractor".

Come to find out he just orders from a third party. But price and service was good.

Just for more information, you can order FELs, blades, decks, anything and everything.

I ordered a FEL and mounted it myself. I'd say there was $300 in savings and the work wasn't difficult at all.

I know this is way off the topic, but it had to comment that many of the tractor pictures posted on this site look nothing like my Kubota. Mine has dirt all over it, grease caked up on every joint, scratches and wear marks. How are do some of these kubotas look so shinny and new...

I do give her a good annual bath before maintenance but the dirt always seems to find her again. Feel like pigpen lol

Everyone, thank you for all the accurate information----exactly my experience, started with the parts dept. ordered through sales dept.
Checking prices just for my own satisfaction I found outside quotes not even close or just not available.
I order the OEM R4's with rims from my dealer. Also purchased the WSM.

Thanks again for the help...looking forward to my 50 hr maintenance.

Oh, by the way. I also just installed the BXpanded underarmor guard. Very, very nice set up and install. I would recommend this product.
