Been considering buying an old baler for years and have narrowed it down to an IH 420/430, NH 56/57 or a JD 14/24T. Would consider an old Ford 420 or Oliver 60 but I have a feeling that parts for those are probably next to impossible to find these days.

My biggest concern is ease of parts and "trademark" problems with any of these particular balers such as missing knots, clogs or making banana bales.

It seems in my region the 14T seems quite popular as I see them listed for sale in my state quite often. Just not sure if they are a good baler or if people are just trying to get rid of their problems.

The tractors I have to pull it range in PTO hp from 30-35 hp.

This isn't going to be utilized for large scale baling. Only about 3 acres of ground and the crops most likely to be baled will be oats, wheat, rye and maybe sorghum.

I never owned a 14T, but I used my neighbor's when I had a breakdown. It worked very well for me and my neighbor still has it. There are so many of them around that you shouldn't have any problem finding parts when needed.
