Tractor
BX25
This will be the second tractor I have owned. The first was an 8N that I bought to 'tame' the old barn foundation after the stone was buried by my neighbor. The 8N got too big for mowing with the flail mower and I reluctantly sold it.

I have 5 acres of flat clay land, 2 of yard and the rest is treed with trees from the county conservation. Oak, Maple, Black Walnut and Hickory along with White Pine and Blue Spruce. Over the last ten years it has gotten away from me and there is a lot of brush, raspberry and multiflora rose. My DR mower will do the work that needs to be done, but the task was too daunting and I was looking at years of labor, so I decided it was time for another tractor.

I plan on getting a Ratchet Rake for the bulk of the clearing process. I also have a lot of box elder and poplar that need to come out. The back hoe should be able to dig out the stumps.

I am very pleased that I found this forum and I have gleaned a great deal of information that will be of great use to me. I an VERY excited to take ownership tomorrow, but with all of the rain we have gotten, I will need to exercise some caution to avoid getting stuck.

I have a 60" MMM, TPH, back work lights and bucket hooks as add ons. I haven't been this excited since I bought my last motorcycle!

you will find the bh indespensible for getting unstuck. ask me how i know. you will love the bx25. check all the fluid levels when it arrives and the right front tires seem to lose pressure after awhile but other than that no problems and about 160 hrs on my 25. good for you on the rachet rake, it's a fun implement

Congratulations on the new tractor.Don't forget to check and recheck the front axle fluid as they are known to go down quite a bit in the first little while.I had to top up my BX2360 three times in the first 6 or 7 hours of use.Now it stays on the full mark.

Thanks to all.

We had 3.5" of rain yesterday and it has rained all day today. There is more standing water than I have ever seen, including spring snow melt. It is going to take a lot of will power to wait for things to dry out.

There are 3 stumps that are on high ground to play with and I will have to settle for that for a week or so.

8 hours until it arrives.

Yesterday our dirt section of road was under 1 foot of water, today a paved section 2 miles away washed out and is closed. Would some place that is in a drought PLEASE take some of our water.

I just know I will get stuck with the new toy.
