Greg, I hope you're saying this tongue-in-cheek! Your troubleshooting steps were pretty thorough, IMO.

Nothing definitive yet, called the dealer this AM for a progress report; The mechanic working on it wasn't there, but the office Mgr said he knows there is a compressor on order for it along with some other parts and would have the tech give me an update next week.

Will update when I hear more.
