Wife let me splurge, and order this new (locally built) equipment trailer to haul our JD 2150 and brush hog on. Trailer was built to my specs by Round House Industries in St Robert, MO, and came in under Iron Bull, Load Trail, Sure Trac, Big Tex, PJ, Doolittle, or any other manufacturer in cost, while (IMHO) surpassing them all in build quality. It is primed and painted, not powder coated (which I dislike anyway), and they were super easy and willing to work with me on getting me exactly what I wanted. The only thing I want to change is adding a pair of fork pockets under the frame to keep the pallet fork off the deck - something I thought of after the build was already complete. Really nice to right to the builder to spec exactly what I wanted, and to get the build quality I was looking for. Much nicer than working through a dealer, though I did purchase it through one of their local dealers. A small shop, but one that takes pride in their work.

Specs:

7x20 (18+2 Dove)
14K Dual Brakes
Rear Jacks
Integrated Tongue Chain/Binder Storage
Slide-In Ramps
Winch Receiver

That looks like a fine trailer. Dexter axles?

That looks nice! Why did you choose that type of storage as opposed to a tongue box that can offer more space?

I like it. Nice tongue box got chains and the jack mounted forward of the front cross brace.

Because I want to be able to rest my FEL bucket on the front bumper when I have my brush hog on the three-point, and the front cargo boxes would have been in the way, plus they cost as much as getting the box built in. The box actually goes back under the bed almost a foot, so there is a ton of storage in there.

I like it (y)
Its more like the old school “chain trays“ we had on the backhoe/excavator trailer I used to run.
The lid makes it better.

That is really nice.

What do you mean by "adding a pair of fork pockets under the frame to keep the pallet fork off the deck"?

You can weld (2) tubes under the deck/frame and slide your pallet forks into them to store them. It’s a standard option on equipment trailers.

Basically just a couple of rectangular tubes to stick the forks in from the side, thus allowing you to keep some deck space free, and saving the awkwardness of strapping down the pallet forks.
