Makes sense. I sort of forgot how nasty it gets inside the coop before we free ranged ours. But it got to the point that we didn't want to deal with the mess anymore and just opened the door to see what would happen.
Every time it rains I put a bail of hay down in the chicken run, which absorbs water, keeps smell down, and keeps chicken feet clean and not muddy. Keeps the eggs cleaner as well. What is the hay for?
I've trapped and killed 3 coons this week. And just last night I saw 3 more on the cameras. If I let them free it would be a blood bath.Makes sense. What do you do with your spare time?
What do you use for bait? The previous owner of my property left a large live trap and I've got some coons living under my deck I want to get rid of. I don't know that they're causing any damage but eventually my dog is going to dig under there to get to them. At my last place I had to take up some deck boards to rescue my moronic stuck dog.I've trapped and killed 3 coons this week. And just last night I saw 3 more on the cameras. Wet cat food. I just open a can and stick it in. I figure it's their last meal, they can have it.What do you use for bait?
