Hello folks,

A little over a year ago the wife and I left the city (Vancouver) and bought a small farm in BC's Cariboo region. Just purchased our first new to us tractor to do some work around the property, plow the driveway, feed the horses etc. It's a Massey Ferguson 1080 - not much to look at, but a work horse. Will need to do a bit of work on it as I go.

Anyhow, hello from our little slice of heaven.

i realize your using rope to hold the rear chains on... but is there any way you could loosen things up? the chains are so tight i am wondering if you are getting extra traction vs loosing traction. a looser chain should give ya some better traction, allowing the chains to flop out of the groves between the tread of the tire.

Will certainly take a look. I haven't got it back to my place yet. It's that new to us.

Good to see another "local" on this site. I'm from "up" the road in Hixon - midway between Prince George and Quesnel.
Welcome to the site - I am sure you will become addicted to it like many of us is :)
