Hi all!
Just found this forum the other day. While I'm new to this group, the toolcat is nothing new. I bought mine in November 2003. It's got about 750 hours on it now. We live on a farm and use it almost everyday for something. Looks like I might get run out of here for saying this, but, the only bobcat attachment we have is the standard bucket. I made my forks, round bale spear, finishing mower, and bought a Schulte snowblower for it. I like most of the bobcat attachments but unless I win a lottery, I'll never buy them. These get lots of use (and abuse sometimes) and have worked very well. Other than the axle changeups, this one has had nothing but regular servicing done to it.

Glad to read you are all enjoying yours as much as we do.
Take care.

Thanks Thomas. Yeah, I've been reading posts way back since I just found this recently. It's obvious that the people here are fine, helpful people, who want to share their knowledge to help others. I hope I can be as helpful to others.

Do you have a picture of the Schulte snowblower on your toolcat?

Here's one taken last year. Not really good but you get the idea. It's a 74". I think it's sits a little farther forward than the bobcat version. I added a power "tilt" to the chute this year. Makes a nice addition after just having rotation before. I have another blower with tilt and really missed it. Bought this one last March for about $3500 Cdn. and have put about 100 hours on it already. Works really well. Another 30hp would always be nice, though! :D I envy you guys with the turbo and hi-flow...

Very nice, and some really snow. Have you tried it on a gravel driveway. What do you have connected to your house? Is it a transponder or a wifi booster? Do the kids enjoy the wingman seat?

Yeah, we have all gravel here. Done miles of it. Not sure what you're asking, but, yeah, if you dig it in the gravel, it fires rocks! It's no different than any blower then. Early in the season is the worst, until there's a base. Usually the only problem is when there's a considerable crown on the road. Flat is no problem. You can also lower the skid shoes. I leave mine up as I'm very used to operating it and just have a "feel" for keeping it outta the gravel. Then, when you want to really clean something tight, you can.

That's my brother's house, but I have the same... wireless high speed internet. Yeah, kids have a lot of seat time as co-pilots. They like it and it's safe. Tractors, that's a no-no!

BLES,

I use my blower almost exclusively on gravel as well. I find tilting the blower up or down does a pretty good job of controlling how much gravel it picks up. I use the bucket for the lighter stuff and when I want to scrap down to the surface.

A few weeks ago, we got hit with about 4 feet of snow. How much snow is too much for the blower? Can you chew through existing piles made by plows?

I've not had to deal with a 4' accumulation but I moved chin high drifts with it. The deeper it gets the slower mine will process it but I've not run across anything it will not handle.

I opened one of my neighbor's lane a couple of times. It is usually waste deep at road from the plow. It did not have any problem going through that. I just have to go slower. After I have it open I lift the blower a couple of feet and blow back the edges along the road without driving into the ditch.

We had 12" of wet snow in Dec. For that I had to slow down to keep the rpms up on the blower. When the snow is dry and 1-2' deep I have to slow down to keep from pushing it off to the sides. Keep in mind I have an 'A' model with 44hp and 16.5gpm running a Bobcat 66" SB200.
