I never noticed until it was pointed out to me,my 1995 ford new Holland whines in reverse. Diesel with shuttle shifting. I have had it almost 2 years. First tractor.

My Workmaster 50 whines also. I suspect that the culprit is straight cut gears. I ran a Farmall Super A as a youngster many years ago on the farm. Great tractor that whined excessively. I would not be overly concerned. Nature of the beast.

Not sure how to check tranny fluid. I see a non engine oil dipstick underhood. Does tranny use hudralic oil, or another place to check?

Transmission fill is located behind the seat. The dipstick is located on the floor in the transmission housing.

It's kind of a rubber plug-looking thing in top.

Ok. Had to use channel locks to get it out. Operator manual is at home.
Need to get service manual. Buy don't know if I should get factory or aftermarker
