New Holland Boomer 20
Hi all, Looking for help or ideas diagnosing a clunk on my Boomer 20 loader. My understanding is that the 20 is the same as the 24/25 just a different size engine.
I have owned this machine from new, 6 years. It has 480 some hours and has been serviced regularly and stored inside. About 4 months ago I noticed a clunking noise when using the loader. The problem description is........

When I am back-dragging dirt or gravel I lower the bucket to the ground until the front wheels are slightly unloaded, maybe 1/2 inch off the ground. Then I back up and back-drag the soil. When I stop and lift the bucket up and the front wheels contact the ground again I am hearing a noticeable clunk as the bucket raises. I hear it every time I do this. The noise is sometimes worse than others but it does it every time. The noise seems to be coming from the left side of the machine near the loader mounting structure...where the loader sits in the "saddles". I can see some movement where the loader is seated in the "saddle" on each side.

So far I have crawled under the machine and checked all the mounting bolts and they are all tight. I have also removed the loader and greased the saddles. All of the loader pivot points are well greased and move freely. The loader works perfectly with the exception of the clunk. I have parked the tractor in the garage and lowered the bucket to make sure that it is level and it is , so I do not think anything is tweaked. I have uploaded a video. Please let me know if you have any ideas of anything I can check....at a loss. Thanks

As follow-up I have also jacked up the front of the tractor to check the front axle to make sure there is no movement and everything moves smoothly. I did this because the noise appears every time the front wheels are lifted off the ground by the loader the lowered back down. I really do not think it is axle related. Sorry, this is the video I meant to upload first

It sounds to me that has you transfer the front weight of the tractor from the from axle to the loader, the loader shifts in its mount/saddle. I suggest you remove the loader, check for wear on the loader post and the saddle with the 2 separated. Then follow manual procedure for reinstalling the loader following closely the mounting the post into the saddle.

Agreed, I actually did do that. I thought maybe the post for the loader was clunking where it sits in the saddle. Until a couple months ago I had never taken the loader off since new. The only reason I took it off was to see if I could identify the location of the noise. The mating surfaces look good and still had the factory paint or powder coat. I did grease the saddle up good and reinstalled the loader per the instructions in the manual. I agree that the noise shows up as the load is transferred from the front axle to the loader arms. When I drive into the loader to reinstall it everything lines up really well so I am unsure why it is moving. There is zero wear on the locking pins and the holes look good. They slide in and out effortlessly.
