- New Holland Boomer 47
I have a 2016 New Holland Boomer 47. It has 4 ranges with a four speed transmission and shuttle (f-n-r) driver on the column. When increasing the gear ratio, particularly in 3rd and 4th range the tractor bogs, slowing way down. The motor does not drag or decrease RPMs, just the drive portion of the tractor slows. The loader hydraulics are strong as well as seemingly the motor. I not sure what's going on. I did get a very slight whiff of a burnt electrical smell outside the tractor... could have been my nose. Anyone else had this problem where the motor and hydraulics seem to work correct but the actual driving of the tractor seems to bog down or drag when going up in range and gear ratio? Thank you.
On a side note, not related to any problems, I used to have a bear of a time connecting and disconnecting my front grapple hydraulics. I learned that if I turn the tractor off and activate the up, down, scoop, dump lever to release hydraulic pressure, then turn the electrical accessory mode (only) on with the key on and move the grab/open switch (actuator) on the dump lever it releases the pressure from the grapple lines making connecting and disconnecting much easier.
