Anyone out there able to tell me if a 2013 Workmaster 35 with a skid steer Q/A bucket priced at $16,795 seem right? Seems the Q/A bucket adds bout $800 to the price. Just shopping--serious shopping that is!

Can you tell me where the Workmaster 35 is manufactured?

Larger 'Workmasters' seem to have been made in India, but Tractordata doesn't list the 35 & 40 and NH doesn't specify regarding the newer, smaller two. Almost apples to apples it compares well to my 2013 NH T1520 HST (Shibaura 1.7L, 35/29hp). One should note that the WM is heavier, with more pump GPM and higher lift capacities both on the 3PH and with the same TL110 loader. (pump/lift the same for 35 & 40, obviously. What's bigger about the 40 is PTO hp vs hydraulic lift capacity.)

Had I been aware of the WM series I might have given them a closer look when shopping last Spring. It seems much more robust than my 'T' series and I could have still had the FEL stick on the loader tower vs on the fender as with the LS/Boomers. (easy on/off for older guys)

The price* above seems pretty good for what's featured in blue, and should give a buyer pause to consider vs a comparable Boomer or LS, with 12x12 shuttle or HST available on the WM. btw: If this line is sub-contracted to Mahindra I'd consider it a plus. I guess we could have looked here to learn more, but little was confirmed:

*Note that if '0% financing' is offered it can mean a much higher price than 'cash'. ($1500 dif for me in the mid $17k's!) Nice if you think so, tho' nothing but a low payment may be gained by virtually prepaying the interest (!) vs less o'all if payed off early.

Tractors are made by LS. Have a loader made in Mexico. Still unable to get any ideal what a good price is on one. Dealer nearest to me is almost 2000 higher than dealer that is 50 miles away. $1500 rebate goes out the end of November. No dealer close to S.W. Ar has a hydrostatic trans either. All are 12 by 12 shuttle.

The WM 35 is an LS G3033, for reference. Fir comparison's sake, my dealer advertises them for $15,750. Pretty sure that price is for the 12x12, but I know he'll negotiate a bit.

I've seen at least one WM 35 out there with the curved boom NH FEL vs the TL 110 as on my T15 series & shown on most sites. IIRC the TL 110 comes up short spec-wise of those on the LSs & Boomers. (no complaints here & I like the QA) )

Otherwise, there seems to be no exact Boomer equivalent but also that WM is 'more tractor' than the T 15s the WM 33s/40s are meant to 'replace'. Anyway, the price range still looks good to me with either FEL, but I'd want to compare to HST if there even was one near the OP. (yikes!)

If you're thinking about buying one, you might consider buying it straight from LS ... LS typically has better loaders than the NH ones. You'll also pay less money. I think the paint they use on the NH versions is a shade darker blue, so only you can decide if the paint & stickers are worth the extra cost.

LS are built in S Korea by LS. The loaders are made in USA by AmerEquip.

My new year resolution is when we use abbreviation's, like LS, somebody has to explains what LS stands for. I Google it and I guess LS was part of LG TV's made in South Korea, meaning that's where the tractor is made.
I happened to stop in the local tractor place the other day where I bought my Kubota, and I noticed one of these New Holland Workmaster 45 tractors, and what stuck out to me was the bigger AG tires on front, which makes it look like it's more an all terrain tractor instead of just for the hay field, which means, I'd like to have one.

Aw, I remember when I did MY first internet search .....

I think you may be one of the few people that need the abbreviation constantly explained, and at that, you should probably only need it once I would guess.

As to their origins, when I was researching, a rep explained that LS was originally formed as a division of Hyundai machinery, in partnership with Yanmar & Mitsubishi, back in the 70's. In the 80's it was bought by a huge company called Goldstar manufacturing. Then in the 90's, the group merged with another to create Lucky Goldstar (LG), a manufacturing giant in S-Korea. The tractor division then became it's own separate division, and spun-off the company to form LS Mtron, and they manufactured machines for different companies all over the world. Some re-badged LS rigs include Case-New Holland, Montana, LG Montana, FarmTrac, McCormick, Long, and some others. To gain US marketshare, they began selling under their own name around 2009, and according to their corporate, they are aiming to become a top US contender. That information seems to run concurrent with other info I've seen online (ie Wiki, etc). You can also check out their website to learn a bit more:

As is so common, things aren't that clear cut when it comes to who makes which tractor. The Workmaster 45 is actually made in India, and has an ISM (IHI Shibaura) engine....not sure if Shibaura has a factory in India or not. Fun trivia, Shibaura came from Toshiba, which was actually Tokyo Shibaura Engineering.

The smaller Workmasters are still made by LS, but hey, that could change too!
