New Kawasaki Mule Pro DX with Yanmar Diesel.

I picked up my new Kawasaki last Friday and spent the day adding some cab enclosure accessories from Seizmik.

It was ordered from the dealer with Kawasaki accessories as listed:
Electric over hydraulic ram on dump bed (800 lb rated ram lift force)
Curtis Industries under hood hot water cab heating/defrost system.
Kawasaki glass windshield.
Kawasaki hard top.
Warn Vantage 4,000 winch.
Warn ProVantage 72" plow/mount
Kawasaki +30% HD coil springs. (I have the originals as well)

At home I added Seizmik brand upper soft doors, Seizmik mirrors and Seizmik rear wall.
Top speed is 30-31 MPH on level ground in high range, significantly less on a hill.
The engine is a 998cc 3-cylinder Yanmar Diesel mated to a belt drive transmission.
The dump bed is 54"x53", lets just call it HUGE!
It has an open rear differential with an electronic locker that is activated from a dash mounted rocker switch.
The 4x4 to the front axle is also activated by a dash mounted rocker.
The front axle is an open differential, there is no limited slip or locker available from the factory or from any aftermarket. (Kubota now uses a limited slip front axle on the X11XX series)

So, do any of you also have a Diesel Mule Pro? If so, what has been your experience with the machine? So far I only have 4 hours on mine, but I am super excited and happy!

Sharp looking machine. Mine is gas but looks like both have the big steel bed which is really a plus. Where is all your snow?

It went from -10°F Saturday to almost 65°F Monday. Everything melted into muck and mud.

I kind of cheap skated the cab enclosure, and aside from the cheap Kawasaki hard top, I'm very happy. I'm going to swap out the hard top to the expensive one meant for a cab enclosure. I screwed that up and watered $300.

We have a 2018 FXT camo gas model. It is just fantastic! Recommend the heavy duty springs for sure. We has a 3010 with over 3,000 miles and sold it in a day on CL to upgrade to the FXT. Looking to get a 610 SE XC for the other farm. You can't go wrong with a MUle, and they hold value better than any other SXS

I gotta say, notwithstanding some bad fuel issues I once had, my old Diesel Mule starts almost as fast as you can release the key, given a litttle glow plug. But the employment of the Yanmar is nice to hear. First Quality.

Mine does vibrate like crazy at idle!

I've heard a few diesels in other brands like Deere and Kubota, and thought that they where extremely loud. Too loud to want one. How loud is yours? Can you talk without raising your voice to the person sitting next to you?

No, you can't whisper sweet nothings into the ear of your farm hand in this diesel.

It's loud, but to me it's not excessive. They actually make insulated panels to block sound between the Yanmar and the cab.... But it's an ad on accessory and not natively included with the purchase of the Yanmar diesel version.

I may add them some day.... if I'm bored and can't find something fun to do with a handful of 20's. I do get bored easily....

I have the OEM bedliner, and it's super handy to pull out and clean. But it's one of the things that goes into resonance at idle. Not sure I would want a spray in liner, but I would consider it.
