“Build Your Own” on Kubota.com – pricing configurator available online
Kubota will be launching our “Build Your Own” Product Configurator program on kubota.com next week. We will be rolling out the configurator one model at a time, starting with the RTV900.

How it works for a potential customer:
The customer goes to Kubota.com and selects “Build My Kubota” from the product menu. They then select the model and implements/accessories they would like to have on their Kubota. Next they have the option to view/print the quote or have a dealer contact them regarding the quote. Quotes will be generated using MSRP information. If they chose to have a dealer contact them, they will provide their contact information and select a dealer (from a choice of 5 closest dealers) as the recipient of their quote. The customer will also receive an emailed copy of their quote.

I think this is a great idea, at least for the customers stand point. It will force dealers to be more competitive with there prices

Do you know if that PDF-form is of any specific format? I ask because we do accessories catalogs for car dealerships and the stickers that go on the cars listing content are very specific and vary by state.

Just curious.

Best thing that can ever happen, This means the northeast dealers won't "quote" whatever MSRP comes to their mind at the time, It may not allow a per centage off the MSRP, but at least now, it will be a level playing field and not 6 different figures from the same amount of dealers matching a specific tractor of same requirment,,.,

Well it's a great idea that's LONG OVERDUE and way behind Deere.com. It frustrates me that Kubota hasn't been more on the ball with availability of online content and tools. Hopefully this represents a change for the better. So, Thank You Kubota and keep it up!

If you read above they mention starting with the RTV first and them going to tractors. So I don't think it started yet.
