is it me or does the new lighting scheme seem a little strange to you?
Looks like lights from a seventies mazda.
Well, the FEL would block most of it, and for the first time I've seen on a Kubota,
that might be a good thing.

I know, this is irrelevant, it's just a styling observation.
And maybe I'll get used to it.

I saw the new M135GX at the farm show and I agree the lights do look like someone didn't put a lot of thought into it. If you have a FEL on there the lower lights are going to be pretty much worthless, sorta like our L3940. I think a full row of lights across the top of the grill might have been better.

Well, the lower lights are so you don't blind oncoming tractor traffic. :D

It looks like they put the lower lights to if you have your loader raised high enough to block the upper lights on the front grill, kind of like driving lights. Not sure if you can have too much light.

totally agree, the more light the better. It's just that those front lights don't look like they belong on a tractor...
I wonder when LED lights will make their way into oem use.

I'm not sure when they will make it. They will add to the cost of the tractor, something I'm guessing they don't want to do with the prices as high as they are. Also LED lights are hit and miss. Some people love them while others just don't like the light. I suspect it'll be the smaller CUTs that get them first since they have limited alternator output while the larger tractors have lots of power needs so they are going to come with larger batteries and alternators. Plus you still have a crowd that likes the simplicity of replacing a burnt out bulb.

May look great in a couple of years. The whole tractor except the poor grill design looks great. The double height lighting is a needed feature with the front loader. Reminds me more of the chevy truck and GMC in the 1970 models. I have swapped over front ends to the chevy style and doubled the value.

Having the lights blocked by the FEL is something I've griped about for years. I like designs that put function ahead of style, so the new look may not be the prettiest tractor nose I ever saw, but it's still appreciated for what it does.

That is what I was thinking.
