Put about 10 hours on the new tractor this weekend and I have a question. I notice there are several wires hanging out. sitting in the seat there is a plug to the left bottom part of the window, wires are yellow and black. There are also 4 wires over my left shoulder at the top of the window, 2 yellow, 2 black. Does anyone know what they are for?

So far the only complaint I have is I keep hitting my right elbow on the bolt head that holds the metal tab for what I believe would be a float lever maybe? I don't have anything there, so that bolt will be hitting the road.

Other than that, it was much fun this weekend!!

Your tractors cab is pre-wired for rear and 2 side rear window defrosters. Those blk/yellow wires are the power source.

The black bolt. It hold the stop for for draft controll. Keeps you pulling the lever too far back.

I was curious about the two wite plug. My L4240 Cab has the rear defog grids and there all working but I see that plug sticking out with no place to go. It's powered up by the rear defog switch but if everything is working what's the plug for?

I don't have a lever for draft control, so that bolt is coming out. I'm waiting to draw blood from my elbow on that thing.

That is exactly what I'm talking about. So now I know what the 2 sets are in the back, but like you don't know what that plug is for.

There should be three sets of wires in the back. Each set will have a black and a yellow. They will be for two of the side windows and one set for the center rear window. As I mentioned. Mine has rear defrost. I think all the Canadian models come with it along with a higher output alternator. As for the plug. I'll check the service manual tonight and see if I can find out what It's for.

Is the bolt you referring to the one I have pictured?

Yes, but it looks like when the guys put my front auxillary joystick on, they put that lever in the wrong slot!!! My lever for the 3pt is in the far slot in that picture. And that is the bolt I keep hitting my elbow on, but after seeing your picture, it looks like something else it going on!

That bolt has a metal stop attached to it to limit the travel of the leaver. They got you in the wrong slot. I don't have any issues with the bolt but seeing yours is in the wrong place I see why you do. If you need more pics let me know. Hope this helps.

The second picture. That plug is for optional Brake Lights.
