New Holland TC 40A
I've been working 14 hour days for the last month so I have not had time to customize my new TC 40A. I came home last Friday and my dad was working in the garage on my tractor. We had planned on adding a toolbox and a rear work light; however, I thought he was going to wait on me. He also purchased my Christmas gift, a new toothbar. Nothing was done to the ROPS, he used the existing brackets to mount the toolbox frame. He also put two 50cal ammo cans together. The cans are attached together and there is a water tight hole cut out of the cans, so longer tools will fit. I also purchased a new New Holland grill guard for a TC 26 for $50. Dad made a custom bracket so the grill guard would fit my Class III Boomer. The actual guard is the same size on all compact tractors.

Nice work. My 45 needed a tool box but I didn't quite figure out how to mount it so it would be out of the way. The grill guard was a steal. I didn't like the 200 plus price tag so I built one. The bucket in the first picture looks eight feet wide. Must be a little caterpillar mixed in with the blue. Now all you need is some play err work time to break in the moving parts.

Pretty work. Pretty country out that way as well. I've live there in a heartbeat. Are you near Bedford?

I have to agree about the Wiiiidddde Bucket.

What is that a 108" bucket ?

About the Ammo Cans, are both Lids Attached/Welded together so they open from one side, and hinge off the other ?

After looking at the Pic of the Bucket a Little closer. That is a Standard 72" bucket.

The Bucket is raised about 3 foot off the ground. It is an illusion that the Bucket is that wide, since it is "Hiding" the front tires and part of the Grill it "Looks" like the bucket is sitting level on the Gravel.

I live in Craig County and I work in the Roanoke Valley, which is about 35 miles from Bedford. About 65% of the land in Craig County is composed of national forest land. I added another picture of the toolbox that shows the Jefferson National Forest in the background.

Deerhunter350, the lids to the ammo cans are not attached. They still work independently; however, the boxes are connected. So far it works well. I can get to the item I need while the other contents can stay dry until needed.

Also, the bucket is 72". I focused the camera on the bucket, which created an optical illusion and made the tractor look like it was 10 feet behind the bucket. I did not mean to do this.

Nice toolbox, right down to the NH blue paint - glad my son & I aren't the only ones who like the finishing touches. We get a lot of pleasure in tackling projects to get more out of our TC40A, too, and the toolbox thing is kind of a problem on this particular tractor. Rear visibility with several implements is a problem, and we're constantly hooking and unhooking stuff, front & rear.
We've got the factory NH formed plastic box which sits inside the LH fender, but it's usefulness is limited. Another problem we've been looking into is the brush guard - I think we're going to make a removable one, rather than a hinged one. (Just one of the projects)
