LS XG3140
Hello all,

First time tractor owner and I'm not sure if this is a concern or just part of tractor ownership. I purchased a new to me 2019 XG3140 with backhoe this spring, only had 18 hours on it and has been a great running machine. Recently I've been noticing oil spots under the tractor after being parked in the barn, dirt floor so I'm unsure how how is soaked in. I've been adding Hyd fluid so I know its leaking, just seems odd that a tractor with now only 80hrs is leaking. I tried to find a gasket online between the Hst and transmission case but haven't had any luck, any suggestions or thoughts?

Are those bolts tight? May be resolved simply by tightening them up.

I noticed that after I took the picture, that is the frame for the backhoe mount. Now that you point out the obvious it could be part of what helps mate the two cases; I originally thought it was just a mounting location. Thanks for the input.

This.

Not sure what monkey assembled mine but I had to stop after about 7 hours of operation and three major leaks (like had to go get more hydro fluid sized leaks) and just go through hand tighten everything. Not a leak since.

Tractors do leak... at some point. But a newer tractor with low hours, shouldnt. Check the bolts and speak with a LS dealer about future warranty work. I'm not sure if the warranty transfers or not with LS.
At some point though, the tractor will not be covered and you will have leaks. The question is to fix them yourself, pay someone to fix them, or simply live with them. That largely depends on you and the size of the leak.

If tightening the bolts doesn't work, take it to a dealer if you can. The warranty stays with the tractor. You might have to do it quickly, it only has a 2 year bumper to bumper.... after that, it is only drivetrain.... I do not think the cases are covered under 'drivetrain'.
