Newb in SW Montana

Glad I found this place and got signed up. Just posted my first thread in the Kubota buying forum. Looking at picking up my first tractor soon. Been using my dads Kioti for about a decade now (at his place)... and now I have my first real place and all I can say is "FINALLY"!!! Grew up in the woods and ended up living in the **** city for too many years. Mind you, the City was mostly Missoula and Billings, but still... not the country and no land. Now I have ten great acres on Hayes Creek! ANd I need a tractor. Not sure how big... 25-35 hp sorta seemed right, like the L series size of Kubota, CK size in Kioti... those are the only two I've looked at so far. But, I have a line on an old (92) Kubota with 59.5 HP... (5450) and am inquiring whether it may be the one for me. Definitely dont have a huge budget... though the 0% interest for 84 months on some Kioti's is fairly attractive.

2 years ago we went to Cooke City, MT And rented some 165” skidoo summits
Coming from the flat lands of Michigan and going to Cooke City was an eye opener
We had blue bird days out there and it was amazing! I wish it was in my cards to move out that way!

Welcome to TBN, we use to live in Darby over a baker's dozen years ago.

It was a nice small MT town, but too hot for us in the summer (can't take the blast from the sun anymore).

We also use to have a great steak at "Lost Horse Creek Lodge" but don't know if it's still open for business?
