Ford 3000
I need bits and pieces for the 1975/6 registered Ford 3000 highway I use at a local sports club to cut the grass.

However some bits on it are not as I've seen on other 3000's.

Exhaust has an S bend from manifold to stack, handbrake is mounted on a drum shaped assembly along with speedo drive and the draft/3 point control has 2 levers not one.

I have a parts catalogue with various diagrams of how things should be and none of them are as per my tractor.

Is the highways model completely different or have bits from other, later fords, been fitted?

what u have is a ford 3600 not a 3000 and it was built for the polish market by the way the parking break system is designed
but the real way to tell is does the hyd pump have a filter mounted onto it if so u have a 3600 if not a 3000 and the hood and exhaust manifoild and lift top has been swaped off a 3600

and if it a 76 model it is a 3600

i agee with WD

000 series ended with 1975

the hand brake is not the us market version

the twin stick hyds DEFFINATELY sounds like x600

post the HAND STAMPED numbers from the trans bellhousing aft of the starter.

the data tag you are looking at on the hood could have been swapped from a 3000 to this machine.. much of the 3 cyl sheet metal swaps around on the 2xxx/3xxx models. ( same with many chassie parts too! )

no 3000 had the s pipe still exhaust and none had the position and draft control levers both. also the handbrake system like i previosly said was built for the polish market the tag u are reading under the hood always stay with the hood on that side somebody could have changed the hood and got one of off a salvage tractor

get the numbers off the bellhousing that is how u determine the tractor u have and the year model

I'll have to check when I'm down there next, probably tomorrow. I'll get some pics too if possible.

It is a UK built machine; and NOT a US tractor as it was supplied new to The London borough of Lewisham in august 1975

the machines built overseas was a year ahead of the ones over here the 3000 series started in 1964 although we call them a 65 model and the 3600 was started in 1975 but not in the usa till 1976

Right I have a few details off the machine.

Tractor No. *B962901*
model CH113C
Unit 6A28B
Engine 046599 6A27
Trans 5K10C
Axle 6A09C

The serial number stamped onto the engine by steering box doesn't seem to coincide with anything I've seen on the web.

Attached couple photos. One is the serial number stamped to tractor, other is dodgy handbrake!

b series sn means assembled in basildon england.

I bet that isn't an H.. but a sideways 1 int he middle of 2 other 1's

hand brake confirms what the sn prefix shows.

don't have a book with me to decode the model id.

the date code says this is an early 66 or 76 model.. jan 28th, day shift.

here's the issue.. 75 should be the end of 000 series.

a c1113c

would be a 3000 post 4-68, lcg model, diesel, live 540 pto and 8spd trans.

hot sure about the H.

this happen to be a 3600? or other 76+ model?
