I have not needed my 4200 JD after dark in the past. But just thinking yesterday if we should get a big snow storm I will be plowing after dark. I was checking things over on my tractor and found the headlights aren't working. I found the headlight fuse and it was ok. I checked both sides of the fuse spot with the key turned on and there was no electric there on either side. Any suggestions wear to start tracing the problem? Thank You all.

I took a look at the wiring diagram and it appears that there are two fuses in the lighting circuit. F5 is before the light switch and protects all the lights including the flashers. If the flashers are working F5 is okay. F7 only protects the headlights and is after the switch. you would need to have the switch turned to the headlight position to have voltage at either side of this fuse.

Other than these two fuses the headlamp bulbs, light switch and wiriing harness are the only other components in this circuit.

Thank you very much for your reply. I just got out there and put it in the garage and checked it out. Your reply is correct. It was the first fuse "30Amp", that was blowed. None of the lights worked. I replaced it and all are in working order now. The cause for the fuse to blow was probably back when I was brush hogging, I ripped one of the rear lights almost off on a tree limb and the bulb was broke. It probably shorted the circut. Thanks again.
