Nobody ever talks about just washing their tractor. Do you?

I give mine an occasional wash and wax, but always in the spring to clean off all the road salt.

I washed mine, a few months ago, for the first time in years.

Just a lot of accumulated dust as it 'lives' in an open-bay shed.

Heck, my ute only gets washed once a year when I take it 'in' for annual servicing. Mind you, Winter salt/corrosives don't happen here in Tassie.

Hale no.
After working in a tractor all day, all I want to do is get away from the damn thing, not wash it!
I do occasionally wash the windshield and blow out the cab

Wash and wax? I'm a fallin' behind here. I don't remember a wash job last year at all, but who knows? My fuel cap is in the center of things. So when I spill, it gets a rinse anyways.

I have to take the hose to Fergie fairly often because I use her for "landscaping", in other words moving muddy dirt and muddy clay from here to there (we don't know what soil is). The mud gets into everywhere, especially the wheels. Here's an idea (yes, that's a tow chain), and it is often worse/dirtier than this:

Mine got it's first bath a couple weeks ago. I was trenching in wire with a subsoiler and unknowingly trenched right through an underground hornet nest and stopped right on top of it. I got off the tractor unaware of what I'd done but figured it out pretty fast when I saw the swarm. My wife had to run to the store for hornet spray and 5 cans of it were enough that I could at least remount the tractor and move it. My wife hosed the over spray off the tractor.

I bought it in 2022 and have not washed it yet. It is dirty; I don't care. I do maintain it with grease/oil, etc. I've never washed my tractors, and no one will ever lead me to believe it is necessary. It's an image thing.

It is funny what people make a priority. I sure don't care if you wash your tractor. But I also sure don't care what you think of me for not washing mine.

Keep your tractor dirty, but maintain it!

Garden hose being careful where the water actually gets sprayed , 5 gallon pail with water and car wash soap, long handle brush made for washing bulk tanks. The cabbed tractor gets washed a few times per year because it needs it or the windows-mirrors are dirty. The no cab tractors hardly ever get washed unless they have lots of mud on them. I have never used wax on a tractor but maybe someday will, tractors are stored inside but get washed outdoors to avoid having to clean up the extra mess inside.
