It must mean we Iseki owners have little or no problems to deal with . Sorry about all those poor Yanmar guys and their troubles....JUST KIDDING! I guess I've got a case of cabin fever with all the snow outside from our one and only blizzard this year in So. CO. Guess I'll just have to keep re-playing the video clip my wife took of me on my Iseki a couple years ago, tilling away, until it warms up

Seems Theres Been More Action Here Since the Original post Larso1 then There Has Been For awhile. Anybody Interested In Posting Pics of There Tractors, Any Helpfull info , Links to info or Diagrams to Help those of Us That cant read Chinese like Myself. Or Just Plain Projects thats Going on . Usefull tip:
Dealer said: It is good not to idle below 1000rpm with anything but a hot engine. Due to the typical hard vibrations in the 2 and 3 cyl smal diesel engines the crankshaft bearings can be thrown. (meaning: damage, $$$)
He therefore delivers all his tractors to not pro owners with Idle set at 1000rpm. He will tune it back but not without giving the above warning and voiding the warranty for this specific failure.


Usefull question:
The spec difference between a TL1900, 2100 and 2300, which all use the same engine, is based on the setting of the fuel pump. Increasing fuel supply gets you more power.
I know this is a fact on some tanks and tracked people carriers, also a lot of military landrovers were de-tuned versions to make them more tolerant to fuel quality variations. Anyone can confirm this for our iseki tractors?

Here is the dumb question of the week. I am a first time Tractor owner and was lucky enough to find a Mint TA247. Question is when I engage the PTO should I have the clutch held in or does it not matter? Also mine has multiple PTO speeds. Do I select the speed and Then engage or what is the order? Also Cowboy, I run the Snot outta mine too. Drag Logs ( love the 3 pt hitch) Dig Holes, Drag home boulders etc. I just bought a Woods Brush Hog , Thats why I ask about the PTO. Never used it before.

- Cowboy Bob, good idea about showing projects and relating helpful hints on our tractors.
- Tatra805, nice looking tractor and trailer dump project. Wish I could weld, I have to rely on others for that. On the fuel injector question, I was told by a supplier on this forum that the only difference between my TS1610F and a TS1910F are the injectors which supply more fuel to the same engine to make up the 3-HP difference, as you said.
- Yomax4, not a dumb question. I'm pretty sure you need to push in the clutch for your PTO whether it's a live PTO or a std one. That is unless it's an electrically operated one, activated by a switch, in which case I don't think you do. I also have 4-speeds on my PTO. The #1 position is a std. 540RPM as with most USA models in the smaller tractor sizes. But I use the next speed up (#2) for my tiller work so that I can till at a higher ground speed (higher gear)...it spins the tiller up faster.

The only half-way interesting project I've done to my tractor (other than rebuild the top end of the motor, which I then found out didn't really need it, but that's another story) was to design and fabricate a 2-pt to 3-pt hitch adapter. I've covered this project before in the Customization forum but never here I don't think. Basically, I found a real nice condition 2-pt 48" Yanmar tiller on ebay for only $250. As I recall I was the only bidder, I guess because the 2-pt hitch scared everyone away. I paid a little extra for shipping from OK to CO and it was mine. I then went about taking lots of measurements and laid it out in AUTOCad. From there, with the help a a friend, I fab'd/welded it up and also welded on a std. 1-3/8" 6-spline PTO shaft adapter over the tiller's metric 16-spline input shaft. It works just as I has envisioned it to. Maybe the only issue I have with it is it hangs back away from the tractor a couple inches more than I would have liked but it also clears the rear tire better, so...the following are a few pics of it installed on the tractor.

Great Pics , Fine looking Tractor , Some handy info tatra805 . I Was not aware of the Low Rpm Issue , I Will Have to Check Mine today & see what the Low Rpm,s are set at . After seeing Your Nice Clean Tractor I,m Kinda ashamed to show any , As I,ve Been Clearing Tight areas Between trees lining the River bank , & Moving a lot of Broken concrete & dirt Leaving Mine Perty well beat up , But will try to get Some Updated Pics Next few days . Thanks for Showing . Any More Updates on the dump Trailor as I,m thinking about Building one Myself to Carry dirt from one end of the Property & to & From my New Baby Pond Project ?

yomax4 As Larso said , Yes as far as Using the Clutch to Engage the Pto , Also its a good Idea to Use it When changing PTO Speeds allthough I Very seldom Use the Low or High setting & find 2nd to be just Right for My needs . Sounds like a Nice Find on the 247 also, Any Pics ? I Also noticed said for Digging Holes, I,m assuming You Mean You use a Post hole auger as I Have recentlly bought an allmost new one & have Yet to use it or even Hook it up Yet , So I Might have some Dumb Questions Myself soon .

Not Wuite sure I understand the Welded on Spline on Your Output shaft & Guess I Dont Know anything about the 2 point type hookup, But Looks Like You did a Great job Making it work . I Had Several of the old Well used Iseki tillers & sold them all Because They looked like to Much work to Me & Figured if I found the need for one I,d Buy a Newer Greymarket one I Know Works . Might need Your input If & When that time comes also .

So Thought that would be a Great Place to start a small Pond, Allthough I,m No Wheres close to being done Mother Nature Decided it would be a good time to test it out . lol . The very last update on my trailer that i can give is that my neighbour filled it today with some old rooftiles . Finally a test for the hydraulics as the same volume horse manure is no challenge.

I have a thread on this dumper in the build-it-yourself section. Plan to update after paintjob is done (looks as summer holiday period...). In the mean time the trailer is in use and working fine.

Attatched is a picture of the new cranked lift arms i made for my iseki tu 220.
I made them as some of my implements were a struggle to get on as the old arms hit the tyres before opening wide enough.
With the new arms the problem is solved.

Nice pond Cowboy are you gonna' stock it with fish?, my ISEKI is the old white painted G-174, I paid $3200 for it supposed to have only 730 hrs on the meter, came just plain tractor, the 3 point hitch was all I got, installed a grader blade this winter installed on the 3 point hitch, the blade is reversable, love to have a front end loader like yours but I'm on a tight buget bein' retired, so I guess one can dream, I really like my work horse a 3 cyl diesel 4x4, I feel I had to pay too much for it, but in Canada here there aren't many around, anyhow I like the country livin' although I live in the city, how many acres do you have?......take care AMPA
