I OWN A 2005 CC LT1046 WITH A COMMAND 23HP VTWIN - THIS MOWER HAS BEEN EXCELLENT FOR ME. I MOW APPROX. 1 ACRE WITH THIS MOWER-THE ONLY COMPLAINT I HAVE IS THAT OEM BLADES WEAR QUICKLY- ALSO I HAVE STARTED USING A WIX 51516 OIL FILTER AND ROTELLA T 15W-40 OIL- CAN ANYONE GIVE ME PROS OR CONS WITH THIS OIL FILTER AND OIL?

Your post makes my head hurt (caps lock?). Yep, Rotella 40wts and Wix filters have been talked about lots of times. I've been running Rotella-T 5w-40 and wix filters since about 10hrs on my 2544. Good stuff. Are they needed? I say no. Only for those who get a warm and fuzzy feeling. Walmart 10w-30 and $2 filters changed regularly will probably yield the same exact result.

Also keep in mind, you can use a longer oil filter if you wish. I use the Napa/Carquest/Wix version of the Motorcraft FL400/Fram PH3600 on my Kohler Command 20. It's twice as long as the OEM filter. I believe you have the room out the side to go long if you want. More oil holding capacity is a great thing for an engine IMO.
