Oil & Fuel oil in L3710???????

Hello! I need to know it's a good idea to change my oil by 0w40 synthetic??
My tractor have 1800hrs on the clock and he always have 15w40 standard oil in.A friend of mine say it's not a good idea because the synthetic oil may destroy all the seals on the engine. i'm a bit confused...

I also have an L3710. I used 15w40 dino oil for the few oil changes in mine and then switched over to 5w40 syn. It's an urban legend that syn is going to destroy your seals. Not only do I get quicker starts with the syn, I now do annual oil changes instead on 2x a year. Switch it over, you don't have anything to worry about. I run 15 40 delvac in all of my eguipment, except my harley. great oil lots of hours on it, no problems.
