Here is a simple recipe, but the burgers come out great!

Ingredients

2 Lbs Ground Beef
1/4 Cup Water
1 Packet Onion Soup Mix, Dry (or onion/mushroom soup mix)
Hamburger Buns; package of sliced Provolone
(optional...small jar of sliced mushrooms)

Instructions

In a large bowl combine all ingredients (except buns and cheese) then form hamburger patties.
Place on the grill or stove top in a skillet on medium heat. Next, cook on both sides about 10 minutes each or
until well done or until your preference.

I add the smoked Provolone after turning the patty.
Makes 8 burgers

Oddly enough, we had those for supper this past week. I'd commented to the wife that I remembered the Lipton Onion Soup burgers from my much younger days and wondered if they still tasted as good now as they did back then, so she fixed them up.

Yes, they were just as good as I remembered them,

Yeah, some of the recipes out there call for Worchestershire and 1/2 cup of sour cream. Never tried the sour cream though.

Have done similar for years. Only thing I have found is the soup mixes can be kind of salty.
