Time for a new tractor. Trying to narrow my choices down lately and have found both a 3032e and a 3320 that are both in great shape.

Specifics:

3032e is a 2016 model with 60" rotary cutter, 60" box blade, FEL, 300 hours - $16k asking. Seller seems firm.

3320 is a 2011 model with 60" rotary cutter, FEL, 1200 hours - $15,500 asking. Feels like there's a little room on this one.

I really like both tractors and would prefer the 3320 if all things were equal. If the hours were lower, this would be a done deal.

Any opinions would be greatly appreciated. Tractor will be used on 10 acres, all flat, mostly mowing and FEL work.

Thanks in advance.

Honestly, the 3320's hours only works out to 200 per year, which isn't a lot. It's definitely not Tier 4 but it's not HST either. Warrantee would be over. Future cab may be available. US$15.500 is indeed a bit high... but it is green.

The 3032e is a year old, which means it's still got lots of warrantee. It is HST and I'm not sure if Tier 4 applies to a 31hp tractor. According to our good friends at TractorData.com the seller is asking US$3,000 less than what the tractor only cost - so all of the attachments/implements are a bonus. US$16k sound very reasonable.

Personally I love having an HST. Good luck, Mate. :)

I didn't see anything stating the 3320 is not HST. Check the 3320 for FEL type. The 300CX is the preferred FEL option - better specs.
With HST the 3320 is a 3 speed transmission, the 3032 is 2 speed. Don't minimize this difference. There may be a significant weight difference (TractorData). Suggest a check of specs for both models - TractorData or JD - download the Owner Manual for each. There are quite a few differences that could make a difference depending on your intended use. See if you can find original MSRP for each one. Try to estimate the "used value" of the attachments and subtract to get a better idea of the value placed on the tractor alone.

As stated by Wagtail, 1200 hours is not that much - broken down even further = 4 hours per week average.

Check for mid PTO. If you ever need one they are expensive to add later.
Check for Rear Valves and / or Power Beyond.

3320 is heavier, if it has HST it will be 3 speed instead of 2, and has better hydraulics.

I have a 3032e and have had zero issues, but it is the economy version with some less features. The warranty and low hours are nice on the 3032e of the two you are considering. I will say that with the 5' cutter, it can bog down some in really tall, thick cutting and you have to slow down.

I've had a 3320 for 9 years now and the only issue was the tilt steering adjuster needed some warranty attention in its first year. Other than that zero problems so I wouldn't worry to much about the warranty factor.

Thanks for the replies. The 3320 is indeed 3 range HST and has rear remotes. I'm going to look at it this weekend. It does also have the 300CX loader.

The 3032e seems like a great price for a practically new tractor. It's closer to home so I'm going to check it out on Friday.

Thanks again.

I have a 2005 model year 3520 with 750 hours on it and love it. No experience with the 3032E, but often see lots of used 3032E and other "E" units on craigslist for sale. While just a guess, my theory is that many folks quickly outgrow the "E" series units and realize that they need more from their tractor. Rarely see any of the 3X20 units for sale on craigslist.

Good luck!

When the newness wears off will you be left with a tractor that you are still satisfied with? I would prefer a 3320 over a 3032E.
