I am looking for a 3PH airblast sprayer for my orchard. Most have a 100 gallon tank which is preferred size. Can somebody recommend a sales site for new and used sprayers? Thanks.
I bought this land to build a house and it was 8 acres of an old orchard that has not been worked for 15 years. And of course, it is a lot of brands that are no longer popular so I replanted 70 trees of 9 varieties, including honey crisp. I also pruned 30 of the legacy trees just to get it started. They are coming along, as are the 300 blueberry bushes. It is good for me and my wife in retirement to keep us busy. Haven’t made a nickel yet in our fourth year but we will in a couple of years. I am a licensed sprayer now. And, I knew nothing about apples before this.I have worked in a few of the orchards downstate in my younger days, and just gave up pruning a small orchard which I spent 14 years bringing back into shape. I do have a few trees planted for my own use. They are too young to produce but I need to start a spray program as they are already showing scab on the trunks. Most of what I have are so-called “antique apples”, although I am planting a honeycrisp this weekend.
I am thinking about planting an acre of dwarf trees for a little retirement income.
