Origin of \"Nothing Runs Like A Deere\" phrase

A couple of years ago I had the privilege of playing golf at the
new TPC at Deere Run Golf course in the Quad Cities area.
Near each of the 18 tee blocks there is a bronze plaque
telling a little bit of John Deere history. One of the plaques
tells the story of how the phrase "Nothing Runs Like A Deere" came into existence. It seems that several years ago when John Deere made and marketed snow mobiles, they hired
an ad agency to come up with a marketing slogan for the
snow mobiles. The person from the ad agency had created
several slogans and presented several of them at a meeting
with John Deere executives. Prior to the meeting the person
from the ad agency had filtered out slogans that he/she thought the execs wouldn't like and had thrown them into the trash can. During the meeting, the ad agency representative
presented several slogans none of which the JD execs liked.
After the meeting was over and the JD execs were leaving the conference room, the ad agency rep grabbed
the "Nothing Runs Like A Deere" slogan out of the trash
and asked, What about this one? It was an instant hit.
Even though several years after that, John Deere got out of the snow mobile business, the slogan has remained with us and has become part of the John Deere legend.

I apologize if this story is posted elsewhere in this forum.
Since I am relatively new, I haven't had a chance to read very many posts.
