I guess since we're owners now I post over here. So far so good except for a couple minor mistakes by the dealer. He was suppose to bring a Bale Spear, when the tractor was delivered Tues. and we still haven't seen the spear. Also one of the keeper bolts in the FEL linkage is badly bent, it's not going to be a problem until I have to remove it some day, they were suppose to replace it before delivery. Wife's getting a bit ticked especially since it's all paid for. It's a nice ride that's for sure, we checked out a lot of others but settled on the Kubota. It's the first non-Red farm tractor on this farm since the early 1940's. The rear tires are filled with approx. 500lbs. of fluid each. The Auto-HST system with Stall Guard is awesome.

Now the questions, It looks like I'm missing a bolt on each side of the loader where the support bar connects to the stationary loader bracket. The brochure shows 4 bolts on each side of every loader equipped tractor, we only have 3 and there's a place for another bolt, it's the area right under the large tube of the loader support. Any idea how much weight is in the std. square bucket with it full of moist soil? It didn't feel light in the rear a bit.

Congratulations on your new tractor. I would expect your dealer to address any issues of missing/damaged parts on your tractor. There is a thread on here about checking all fluids that you might want to check out.

Does anyone know for sure if there's suppose to be 3 or 4 bolts where I'm
talking about? They're getting a call today. The dealer is having open house
tomorrow and I don't think he would want me over there talking about
problems. My brother bought a B-series from the same dealer and he said
he feels like they have too many irons in the fire and you have to make a few
phone calls. I think they need to hire more with the volume they're supposedly
moving at this dealer. They also are suppose to be ordering one Kubota decal
for the loader that messed up and 2 warning stickers for the loader that are
really messed up, you have to know my wife says really a stickler for these
sort things on her tractors. She washed 3 of the other day, she likes a good
looking, clean tractor, she takes after her Dad. I'm really surprised she didn't
want to wash the little bit of dirt off the spike bar that was left yesterday.

Thanks guys, I'll see if I can locate that fluids thread.

This information should be in your loader manual; not really sure which bolts you are talking about or I could go out and look at my 583.

Beautiful tractor!
I have one of its predecessors (L3830 HST) for last five years and haven'y had any problems with it. You might consider re-inforcing the side of the bucket where the bolt goes through to hold on the toothbar. I got a tooothbar from Markem welding and they sent along a 4 x 4 steel plate to weld onto the outside of the bucket to help prevent that hole from being enlarged by the pressure on it from the toothbar. Good luck with it. -Mike

If you take a better picture of the bolts I will look at mine and see if it's the same.

Congratulations on you're new tractor, it looks great.
My L4240 delivered last week also has the 4th bolt missing on both sides, just a different hole on the right side. I remember someone mentioning this issue on a thread a year or so ago and was watching for this when mine came. Most of the ones I looked at on the lots were like this. I haven't heard an explanation why. One would think the 4th bolt should be there. I'm not worried about mine too much, figuring if it was a significant issue Kubota would have given the dealers a tuneup on it.
An observation I made while tractor shopping was that some dealers are not concerned about the condition/appearance of their product upon delivery. I realize it is a tool to be worked and can and will be damaged in some manner eventually but why have a headstart on it when handing over the check. If you were buying a new truck for the same price and it had a bent bumper and a dent in the driver's door you wouldn't take delivery until it was corrected. It's frustrating to be put in the position to have to complain about your loader linkage. The dealer should have acknowledged it and said the parts are on order & it will be fixed when they come in or taken parts off another loader & fixed it prior to your delivery.

Here's the pictures in question:

Basically it's the top rear hole that's missing a bolt on both sides. It could that
all 4 bolts were setting up some sorta stress point. In all the pictures in the
latest Kubota brochure every tractor shown with a loader or front blade
they all have 4 bolts on each side.

I'm not sure the bolt will cause the bucket hole to elongate since the tooth
bar is slotted but I'll keep an eye on it as I doubt we'll use the tooth when
loading manure.

This is not a big deal but I noticed it when we looked over it before delivery
and it was suppose to be changed. I'm just going see if they'll give me
another bolt and I'll try and straighten this one and remove it, if not I'll
zip it off with a cut-off wheel and install a new one. I'm sure it's just a
keeper bolt.

Squeaky wheel gets the grease. Keep calling them till you get your issues addressed. I'd want that fourth bolt installed even I had to buy one on my own.
