Today was the day,for the out house.A new location and hole much deeper round 10feet. Shouldn't have to move it again as were putting in a septic. We havent had a toilet for................... a very very long time.We luv the Out House! the toilet will be for the winter's...........well see.

3rd time for the house 2nd property Love it so much We take it with us. Shes 9ftx5ft and can with stand high winds, snow and being trailered and pallet forked. This house was made to move. Built like a tank and lined with aluminun(underneath).Had to slide the forks under lift up and strap her down for the haul up hill, that was the scary part...waiting for the tractor to tip....lucky i was, at the top of the hill I had to use the backhoe for ballast! all went well as planned.

lots of septic talk lately.I was wondering if anyone else Uses their out house?

Oh brother are in you in BIG trouble. LOL  You are in violation of out house code. I see NO matches to stop any ramped or rouge odors. I see no Sears & Roebucks catalog for particle removal. I know why you moved it. The last bush it was sitting by got all the leaves pulled off.

I'm just starting my third outhouse, and I wanna know...

How did you dig so deep?

The first hole I did was about 3ft deep (tempory toilet, just a seat and a hessian screen) hand dug hole. Time came to move it, and I managed to auger a 4ft hole, which is filling too fast.

This time i'm doing a proper outhouse, similar to your design, but permanent. I had an excavator dig as far down as it could with its narrowest bucket, which is only about 8ft down, and 1.5ft wide.

Thanks,

Cran

Howdy marimus

I used my Kubota L 48 to dig the hole which is 7feet long and 3ft wide as the house is 9x5. L48b has a 12 ft depth more if you tilt the back up and down with the FEL and rear stabilizers.
How big was the excavator?

OH the hills have many many eyes out here................

Gotta admit that's a fancy looking out house compare to most in NH.

Single seat or double?

Double of sorts as well as a beday, not hooked up but waiting for years. Used to have a propane heater in it when we lived in the perma frost zone. The outhouse at the family ranch is a four hole! you should see the line during the holidays! no joke, no divider,...can you pass me the national geographic.

Yo Mad Ref Ive seen some of those before,as well as the great outhouse book, inspiration to build a better/diffrent house, Is that poster in your bath room?

Gonna have to cruise the web site bones1 when im in town next week, dial up stinks, dial up is like being constipated!
