yeah it is on the left side but I don't know what kind of valve it is. I'm going to be out there this afternoon and I'll try to find out. For some reason I want to say it is a spool valve. You push one side to operate one way and the other side to go the other.

Very unusual set-up. The "standard" set-up for a thumb is a right
foot control, as seen on excavators. That is what is done on the slick
new BT820 on the B26. I posted a photo in the B26 thread. Yours is the
first I have seen, even in a photo, of the Woods hyd control.

It seems that Kubota needs (and they kinda admit it) to modernize their
other BT hoes to include a well-integrated factory thumb. The other
BTs (1000 and 1100) require brackets to be welded to the dipper
stick after-mkt.

the factory hydraulic thumb is the main reason I opted for this hoe. I am a big fan of woods implements so that is the two reasons I bought it. The rhino had more digging depth but a thumb(even mechanical) wasn't an option. I also like the curved boom even though I don't see any real advantage to it.

Any idea how much travel distance (left to right) you have with the hoe fully extended?

Anyone know the best place to buy another size bucket for one of these Woods BH-90X???? And, anyone heard of these having an option for a Quick Attach setup so you can change the buckets quick?

Curvy booms are the current trend. I don't see any significant advantage
either. The slightly greater clearance while digging or filling a high
dump truck are real, but minor IMO. Maybe part of the reason that
manufacturers have gone curvy is to look more like commercial units.
Also the move to fabricated box sections versus rectangular tubing
allows curves without much, if any, greater fabrication effort.

I, too, collect unpublished backhoe specs, but I won't ask you too
many. I would like to know the cylinder ODs, esp the dipper stick cyl.

Yes, CJ4 it is listed in the info on the woods page for the bh.
I've asked about it and I'm waiting on a return phone call from the salesman in my area for the price of this option.
so far the price is 8230.00 but that is with out the thumb, also 600.00 to install it but it does incude 18 & 24 Buckets

Quick Attach setup so you can change the buckets quick? I've changed the buckets on my 80x twice now and I don't think it's hard enough to warrant a QA -- 2 bolts, 2 pins, and about 5 minutes .... easy.

I paid $10,920 for it (including $500 to install the subframe). It included subframe, 18" bucket, hydraulic pto pump, and hydraulic thumb($2300 option). Apparently the subframe was a real bear to put on my tractor because the fella that was installing it at the dealer got hurt putting it on. I think for $5-600 it is definitely money well spent for them to put on. I don't have the right lifting equipment to install it myself safely.
