Nice tractor Roy.Do you like that cab ? Is that a Curtis ?

Yep, a Curtis. It's OK...probably not as nice as a factory cab, but it'll keep be out of the inclement weather.

Plowed the pond sat after we got about 3" of snow overnight... but then got rain all morning... what a mess. Broke my winch cable. http://s57.photobucket.com/user/big...71_1438896302247296080_o_zps0c51v8zo.jpg.html

"Plowed the pond", that's sounds funny. Cool picture though.

Put the 1953-40S to work yesterday on the 6" of wet, heavy snow we got: <img src="http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/files/snow-removal/409828-pictures-your-snow-weapons-hpim1486-jpg"/> <img src="http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/files/snow-removal/409829-pictures-your-snow-weapons-hpim1489-jpg"/> <img src="http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/files/snow-removal/409830-pictures-your-snow-weapons-hpim1488-jpg"/>

The tractor looks good pushing snow. Are the rear wheels from another model?

We finally had a decent snow storm! Over a foot of light, fluffy snow! I used my Kubota to move back the snow banks after I plowed!! :cool2:

My freshly "Groomed" driveway. A bit of back dragging and it looks like a groomed ski trail

Considering all the openings around the cab (clutch pedal, brakes and I think there may be two filler pieces missing down low between the cab and sides of the cowl), it kept me warm enough with an non-insulated jacket. My hands, face and feet normally get cold first...and they didn't. Not warm enough to operate in a tee shirt, but not bad either.
Come Spring I'll make up some rubber pieces to fill in all those gaps. That will help next winter.
The Curtis Cab is OK...but don't expect the well integrated fit of a factory cab. The Curtis Cab works for me, but I just wanted a degree of shelter, not luxury.

Without a cab, getting through snow that way doesn't look like fun at all, even if it is the rage. :D
